Caregiving, whether done professionally or in our personal lives, is a highly demanding role that encompasses a number of skills and challenges, and can result in burn-out for the caregiver. Writing can be a method for reducing stress and gaining greater insight into this role; writing can also be a means of problem-solving, expressing feelings, and connecting with others. Studies show that writing about stressful aspects of our life, such as taking care of another person, promotes physical and mental well-being in the caregiver.
Through a series of lively, interactive discussions and activities, we will use writing as a way to connect with each other, become more in touch with our own needs and share resources and strategies to further build resilience as caregivers. Cost is $75 for the 5-hour workshop. Pre-register here.
