Coping Creatively

  • 137 State Street Schenectady, NY, 12305 United States

This group is for adult individuals interested in using art and creativity as coping tools for dealing with depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues.

The goals of the group are:

Play. A necessity for health and happiness.

Process. Get lost in the act of art making, find yourself as you engage with your creativity.

Practice. Art techniques for coping with difficult emotions and life challenges.

This is a good way to get unstuck, have some fun, and connect with like-minded people in a safe and non-judgmental space. You do not have to have any artistic skills to participate, all are welcome. The format of the group is very relaxed, and the facilitator provides a different theme or project each session.

Art materials provided. This is a closed group, and approval from the group facilitator is required before registration is accepted. This group is led by Heather Hutchison, MA LCAT ATR-BC. If you would like to participate, please contact us before registering. The cost is $15 per session.

Authorized group members may register here.
