Join us this summer to contribute to the “Seeing Shades of Saratoga” project. Inspired by the work of Byron Kim’s, Synecdoche (1991-present), participants are invited to take a close-up look at their individual presence in our community. Each artist will draw their own eye in detail. Then, using a variety of multicultural mediums, they will match the medium to their own skin tone and color the remaining areas around their eye illustration. Each 4x4in. eye “portrait” will become part of large community mural that will ultimately hang in the Saratoga Springs Public Library. Instructed by Julie Lewis.
All ages are welcome.
